The 4-day celebration that dates back to 1723 is the premier event found in Rio every year! Taking place in the middle of the summer, this event is unforgettable! You can't miss the Samba Parade, taking place in the middle of Rio at the Sambadrome. The parade moves through the streets of Rio and creates an exciting, memorable experience.The street bands, floats, dancers, and the the never ending sound of samba creates a unique and exciting atmosphere. The Samba schools prepare all year for the parade, and their unique dancing and colorful as well as creative costumes add to the celebration! With parties all over the city, you can't miss these four days!

2016 Summer OlympicsThe Summer Olympics will also be centered in Rio in 2016!
